Scope and precondition for opening
These terms apply to booking, changing, cancelling and paying for a MEDIJENNA OÜ healthcare appointment. The healthcare activity licence has been issued; the licence number is being confirmed. Mandatory healthcare provider liability insurance is being arranged and is not yet effective. Booking through eKliinik is available, but healthcare services will begin only after the insurance cover becomes effective.
Activity licence number: täpsustamisel. Healthcare provider liability insurance details: täpsustamisel.
Booking and contract
An appointment may be booked through eKliinik or a published MEDIJENNA channel. A booking becomes binding when the patient receives confirmation. Before confirming, the patient must be able to review the service, price, duration and these terms.
A booking is made by the patient or an authorised representative. A person booking for someone else confirms their authority and must provide the terms and appointment information to the patient.
A booking does not guarantee a specific clinical outcome and does not replace the practitioner's assessment. Suitability, scope and safety are decided from the patient's condition, information, informed consent and professional assessment.
Patient responsibilities
The patient must:
- provide accurate contact and booking data;
- arrive on time and follow reasonable preparation instructions;
- disclose material and accurate information about health, medicines, diagnoses, tests, operations, contraindications and medical instructions;
- promptly disclose any change that may affect safety;
- ask questions and report if an explanation or procedure is unclear or causes unexpected symptoms;
- comply with agreed payment and conduct terms.
MEDIJENNA may postpone, adjust or decline care if necessary information is missing, the service is unsafe or not indicated, informed consent is absent, there is an infection or safety risk, or another healthcare professional or emergency assessment is required. In an emergency, call 112.
Cancellation and rescheduling
An appointment may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge if notice reaches MEDIJENNA at least 24 hours before it begins.
Use:
- the eKliinik cancellation function, where available; or
- info@medijenna.ee.
Telephone may be an additional channel but is not the only required method. If a call is unanswered, send an email or use eKliinik. Notice is submitted when it reaches MEDIJENNA's information system; in a dispute the sender should be able to provide evidence that the notice was sent.
Late cancellation and non-attendance
If notice arrives less than 24 hours before the appointment, or the patient does not attend, MEDIJENNA may charge a late-cancellation fee (contractual penalty) of up to 100% of the booked service price. The time is reserved for that patient only; at short notice it is usually not possible to rebook it, while practitioner and premises availability costs remain.
When setting the amount, MEDIJENNA reasonably considers whether the time was rebooked, costs saved, the lateness of the notice and any evidenced unexpected compelling circumstance. MEDIJENNA may reduce or waive the charge, but this does not create an automatic entitlement to a future exception.
The patient must notify MEDIJENNA of any impediment as soon as reasonably possible. These terms do not restrict force majeure or mandatory statutory rights.
Lateness
Notify MEDIJENNA immediately of lateness. The scheduled finish usually remains unchanged. Care may be provided during the remaining time if professionally safe, and the price may remain unchanged. Lateness exceeding 15 minutes may be treated as non-attendance where meaningful and safe care is no longer possible.
Cancellation by MEDIJENNA
MEDIJENNA may change or cancel an appointment because of illness, technical failure, premises unavailability, safety risk or another compelling reason. The patient will be informed as early as possible and offered a new time where possible. No late-cancellation charge applies; a prepayment is refunded or transferred with the patient's agreement.
MEDIJENNA does not compensate indirect costs such as lost wages or travel, unless required by mandatory law or caused by MEDIJENNA's intent or gross negligence.
Price and payment
The current price and duration are displayed before booking. Additional material or an additional service is chargeable only where its price or calculation method has been explained in advance and accepted.
MEDIJENNA OÜ is not VAT-registered. The displayed price is the final patient price unless clearly stated otherwise. For unpaid amounts MEDIJENNA may send reminders and claim statutory interest and reasonable recovery costs.
Healthcare, consent and outcomes
Before care, the practitioner explains the condition, nature and purpose of the service, ordinary risks, possible alternatives and consequences of refusing, to a reasonable extent. Care is provided with informed consent except where law provides otherwise.
Outcomes depend on the patient's condition, individual response, comorbidities, continuity and other factors. MEDIJENNA does not guarantee recovery, disappearance of symptoms or a result by a set date. A professionally justified objective and plan may be agreed.
Liability
MEDIJENNA is liable for contractual and statutory breaches to the applicable extent. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including intent or gross negligence, or restricts mandatory patient rights.
MEDIJENNA is not liable to the extent damage or an unwanted outcome is caused by material information intentionally concealed or stated inaccurately by the patient, failure to follow reasonable instructions, unauthorised changes to the plan, a third party or an event outside MEDIJENNA's control, provided MEDIJENNA fulfilled its professional and legal duties.
Data and communications
Booking and care data are processed under the Privacy Notice. Do not send diagnoses, national ID codes, discharge summaries, results, images or sensitive health information by ordinary email or a public form. MEDIJENNA may send necessary confirmations and reminders to the contact provided; the patient is responsible for keeping it current.
Complaints and disputes
Submit complaints under “Feedback and Complaints”. The parties first seek an amicable solution. Depending on the issue, a patient may contact the insurer, Terviseamet, Data Protection Inspectorate, Tervisekassa, the Consumer Disputes Committee at TTJA, or a court. Estonian law applies. Mandatory patient and consumer rights remain unaffected.
Version
The version made available when the booking was confirmed generally applies, unless a legal or patient-safety change requires immediate effect. MEDIJENNA retains evidence of the version and patient confirmation where technically possible.
