Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file or other browser storage. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage and online identifiers. They may be strictly necessary or used for statistics, convenience or marketing.
MEDIJENNA's approach
By default MEDIJENNA uses only technologies strictly necessary for website security and a requested function. Health data are not used for advertising. Non-essential analytics, advertising pixels or other optional technology are not loaded before free and informed consent.
If only strictly necessary cookies are used, consent is not requested but information is provided. If optional tools are introduced, rejecting must be as easy as accepting and consent must be withdrawable at any time.
Actual technical list
The following technologies are currently used by the website or loaded at the user's request.
| Name | Provider and domain | Purpose | Type | Retention | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Maps consent preference | MEDIJENNA / browser localStorage | stores whether the user permits the Google Maps embed to load | necessary to retain the privacy preference | until permission is withdrawn or site data are cleared in the browser | legitimate interest and user-requested function |
| Google Maps iframe | Google LLC / google.com | displays the MEDIJENNA appointment location | optional external content | under Google's terms | consent |
| eKliinik iframe | Connected OÜ / connectedserver.eu | user-requested booking | external booking service | under the provider's terms | pre-contractual steps and user-requested function |
The Google Maps iframe does not load until the user gives permission. If permission has already been stored in that browser, the map loads automatically when the location page is opened.
eKliinik, Google Maps and third-party content
The booking page loads Connected OÜ's eKliinik. The browser connects to its domain and transmits at least the IP address, technical request data and booking data entered. The function loads on the user's explicit request. Actual eKliinik cookies and storage must be listed separately.
The location page reserves a fixed-size area for Google Maps. The Google Maps iframe is not loaded before permission is granted. When the map loads, the browser connects to Google and may transmit the IP address, browser and device technical data, and request data. After permission is granted, the map appears in the same area without reloading the page. Google processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.
MEDIJENNA does not load YouTube, social-media embeds, advertising or tracking services by default. An ordinary outbound link does not set that provider's cookies on the MEDIJENNA page; the destination's terms apply after navigation.
Managing preferences
Google Maps can be enabled directly on the location page. The user may leave the map unloaded and use the displayed address or external Google Maps link, allow the map to load in the same area, or withdraw permission on the location page. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Site data can also be removed in browser settings.
